1 Introduction
Thank you for using SpeakHook ("the App"), a Wear OS application that captures voice input on your smartwatch and forwards it as a text payload to a webhook URL of your choice — such as Make.com, n8n, or your own API endpoint.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. By using SpeakHook, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

3 Data We Collect
SpeakHook collects the minimum data necessary to function:
- Voice input — the App uses your device's built-in speech recognition to convert speech to text. This processing is performed by Google's on-device or cloud-based speech recognition service, depending on your device settings. SpeakHook does not record or store raw audio.
- Transcribed text — the resulting text is sent directly to the webhook URL configured by you. The App does not store, log, or transmit this text to any server controlled by the developer.
- Webhook URL — the URL you configure is stored locally on your device only and is never shared with the developer or any third party.
4 Data We Do NOT Collect
SpeakHook does not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to the developer
- Any data stored on developer-controlled servers
5 How Your Data Is Used
The transcribed text from your voice input is sent exclusively to the webhook URL you provide. The developer has no visibility into, and no control over, what data is sent or how it is processed by your chosen webhook destination (Make.com, n8n, your own API, etc.).
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your webhook destination complies with applicable privacy regulations.
6 Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party service:
- Google Speech Recognition — used to convert your voice to text. This service is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Depending on your device configuration, speech may be processed on-device or sent to Google's servers.
The App does not integrate any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services.
7 Data Storage and Security
All configuration data (such as your webhook URL) is stored locally on your Wear OS device using standard Android storage mechanisms. No data is transmitted to or stored on developer-controlled servers.
The security of data transmitted to your webhook endpoint depends on the endpoint you configure. We recommend using HTTPS endpoints at all times.
8 Children's Privacy
SpeakHook is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that involves submission of personal data, please contact us so we can address the situation.
9 Your Rights
Since the App does not collect or store personal data on developer-controlled servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete upon request. Any data sent to your configured webhook is under your own control and subject to the privacy policy of the service you use.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR. Please contact the operators of your webhook destination to exercise those rights in relation to data they may hold.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify users through the App or the Play Store listing. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
